Fair Volunteers
In Public Education at CMHA Toronto we respond to many requests
from the community to participate in health fairs.
Health Fair Volunteers staff the CMHA Toronto booth and help
educate the public about mental illness and mental health.
Requirements
You are comfortable speaking to people and answering general
questions about mental illness and mental health in a health
fair setting. You are able to set up and take down the tabletop
booth. A car to transport the tabletop booth and the resource
materials is an asset but not a necessity.
Lived experience of mental illness is an asset for this volunteer
position.
Training is provided.
Time involved
3 to 4 hours (including transportation time), 1-2 days a
month maximum between September and June . Most health fairs
are during the week but very occasionally they take place
on weekends.
Locations within the City of Toronto.
