Thank you for considering the Charitable
Life Insurance Program (CLIP).
The Canadian Mental Health Association Toronto Branch has
been an important part of your life. Now it can be part of
your legacy.
The Charitable Life Insurance
Program is different from other insurance contracts
in that it has been designed to meet the unique needs of not-for-profit
organizations like ours interested in leveraging the benefits
of life insurance as a gifting tool.
Guaranteed premiums and payout
- Both the premiums and the death benefit from the CLIP policy
are contractually guaranteed. You never pay more, and we never
receive less.
Short payment period
- You may choose either 3 or 5 annual payments, whichever
is more suitable for you. The CLIP contract is fully paid-up
once these payments have been made.
No medical exams -
There are no medical exams required in this program. The only
requirement is an acknowledgment of good health. Over 85%
of potential donors will qualify for the program, even those
of older ages.
No restrictions -
Unlike other Guaranteed Issued programs, there are no delays
in the payment of the benefit. The coverage is immediate and
the benefit is paid immediately.
Donor commitment -
The short payment period allows you to pay for the full coverage.
We know that the value of your gift is not as vulnerable to
changes in your financial position as other gifting commitments.
Simple to understand
- Since the CLIP product has no complex features, it is easy
for both you and our representatives to understand.
The CLIP program provides
a simple, guaranteed solution designed specifically for the
charitable need. None of the benefits of life insurance as
a gifting tool has been lost. Premiums are deductible, the
gift is not contestable by other heirs and the charity owns
the contract. The problems of using other life insurance policies
for gifting purposes have been eliminated.
